Good afternoon,

As you may know, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has been advocating for Congress to find a legislative solution for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) before the program expires.

Since 2012, individuals have enrolled in the DACA program in good faith, gaining the legal ability to attend school and work. As a result, they have become even further integrated into our communities and the nation’s economy. DACA recipients are our friends, our neighbors, and our coworkers. As Neil Bradley, Senior Vice President and Chief Policy Officer of the U.S. Chamber, has stated, “To reverse course now and deport these individuals is contrary to fundamental American principles and the best interests of our country.”

Today the U.S. Chamber joined with more than 60 organizations to launch the Coalition for the American Dream. We are calling on Congress to pass bipartisan legislation that gives Dreamers a permanent solution this year.
