Allow approx. 25 minutes for security. PROCEED TO ROOM 350 8:30am Meeting with Nick Ayers, Chief of Staff, Vice President Pence Mr. Ayers serves as chief aide to Vice President Pence, having previously worked on the Trump Transition team and campaign. A prominent and leading figure in the Democratic Party. * Strategy Topic II: Administration and Politics A new foreign policy team and continued political volatility across the country – update on USGLC’s Smart Vote 2018 strategy and discussion. 4:00pm USGLC Opinion Research: Presentation & Discussion USGLC has just completed opinion research, listening to Heartland voices on attitudes around America’s Global Engagement and the impact on our economy.USGLC team of professional Republican and Democratic pollsters will present the findings. Discussion to follow. 5:30pm Special Cocktail Reception 6:15pm Dinner Discussion with U.S. Senator Doug Jones Senator Jones (D-AL) is one of the newest members of the Senate, elected in an intensely contested and highly watched December special election in Alabama.
