My apologies to those who were holding this event on your calendar, but we have decided to postpone the Nine Holes Anywhere Summer Invitational until the Fall of 2018.

The weather will be cooler and it has been determined far more players will be available to attend and ultimately help benefit St. Michael’s School & Nursey.

In case there is any confusion we will still be hosting the Nine Holes Anywhere “Advisors” tournament on Thursday June 23rd at 2:30pm which is a networking event for local advisors/sponsors.

If you consider yourself an “Advisor” or the “Founder & Builder” of a business and would like to play on June 21st I have attached that invitation below. If you are not an Advisor or can’t play on the 21st please also feel free to reach out to me about just coming out for a fun practice round on Friday June 22nd or Saturday June 23rd while the 18 hole course is set up. I will make equipment available and the course will be ready for play (sorry…no kegs or hot dogs).

Be ready to come back this Fall, however, for the official competition and what has been historically titled “The Fall (Down) Classic”. I will send out a save the date as soon as I am able.

All sponsors for the NHA “Advisors” Tournament will also be officially recognized verbally and with signage at both The 2018 Fall Classic and on the June 21st, 2018 “Advisor’s” Tournament.

You are a trusted “Advisor” to clients or a business founder/builder which qualifies you, your colleagues, prospects and clients to play in the Third Annual Nine Holes Anywhere Advisors Tournament (a little play on the “Masters”).

As you know I am an investment portfolio manager for families, foundations, endowments and institutions here at Brown Advisory, but my hobby is to build mallets for a game called croquet golf which my Dad and Uncle invented in 1969. Our sets essentially allow you to turn any property into a nine hole “golf” course. The mallets are tough enough to take a full golf swing on a croquet ball.

NHA has been highlighted in Garden & Gun Magazine and as featured guests at The Murray Brothers Caddyshack Charity Golf Tournament.

I decided to host the Nine Holes Anywhere “Advisors” tournament because a number of local accountants, lawyers, business owners and other professionals have expressed interest (also benefitting St. Michael’s School & Nursery). This one of a kind outing is a great way to bond with colleagues outside the office and to network with other advisors and local contacts while doing something new.

Golfers, non-golfers, men and women alike love the game. Most people become good players after just a few practice holes. The course I set up at my home can handle over 100 players and I will provide all the equipment.

I hope you will come out and bring others from your firm/company and network to enjoy an afternoon of fun followed by dinner and fire pit on our hill top (non-players welcome for dinner). Please RSVP to me and provide names of those who will be playing and eating.

Donations can be accepted the day of the tournament or in advance (not required). For those of you considering sponsorships you should know the Nine Holes Anywhere “Summer Invitational” is a separate tournament which will be held Saturday June 23rd 2018 with over 100 players and 150 people for dinner. I feel very confident saying you probably have clients or people you would like to make your clients playing.

All sponsorship signs, etc, will be posted both days so sponsors will surely reach 200-250 people locally.
