We are looking forward to seeing you for our Spring Board meeting next week May 22-23, 2018 in Washington, D.C.

Speaker Update
I am very pleased to update you on a few additions to our schedule, including a newly scheduled meeting with Ivanka Trump at 9:30 AM on May 23rd. While I recognize this may be challenging for some of your schedules, I hope you can make every effort to join us for this very important discussion. Additional guest speakers for Tuesday, May 22nd include:

* Vice President Pence’s Chief of Staff Nick Ayers
* House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy
* Former Mayor of New Orleans Mitch Landrieu (Immediate past Chair of U.S. Conference of Mayors, potential 2020 presidential candidate)
* USGLC Pollsters to unveil our Heartland message research
* Senator Doug Jones (D-AL) will join us for dinner

As you will see from the schedule below, we have a very busy day! We know it’s extremely full but we have been amazed that so many of the guests we invited said yes, and we will take breaks throughout to be respectful of your time. Should there be any changes, we will send the final schedule on Friday along with “Read-Ahead” articles.

Security Information
If you have not done so already, please be sure to submit your Security Information to Emily Benovitz for the meeting with Nick Ayers (May 22) and Ivanka Trump (May 23), both taking place at the EEOB (Eisenhower Executive Office Building). You will need to bring a government-issued photo ID and please be sure to allow approximately 25 minutes for security screening.

Tuesday, May 22
Transportation will be provided throughout the day beginning after our meeting with Nick Ayers from the White House complex, to Capitol Hill, and back to the St. Regis Hotel.

Arrive at 17th Street and State Place, NW White House Complex Visitors Entrance to the EEOB (With Government Issued Photo I.D.)
Allow approx. 25 minutes for security.

8:30am

Meeting with Nick Ayers, Chief of Staff, Vice President Pence
Mr. Ayers serves as chief aide to Vice President Pence, having previously worked on the Trump Transition team and campaign. He is considered a highly-regarded confidant of both the President and the Vice President.

A new foreign policy team and continued political volatility across the country – update on USGLC’s Smart Vote 2018 strategy and discussion.

Senator Jones (D-AL) is one of the newest members of the Senate, elected in an intensely contested and highly watched December special election in Alabama.
