Umme is just 1 year old, yet she's already lived through horrific violence and life-threatening disease. She and her family fled Myanmar for Bangladesh, where resource-strapped camps are taking in thousands and thousands of refugees.

Umme's father takes her to a CARE-supported clinic for treatment, while her sick mother stays at the camp with their older children. She's just one of 150,000 child refugees who are acutely malnourished, the kind of hunger that can lead to severe muscle wasting -- even death.

This crisis is hard to put into words, but it's important to understand what's happening on the ground in Bangladesh, and how CARE supporters like you can help Umme and other children survive.
