Dear Board of Directors,

What a whirlwind 24 hours we’ve had together – 2 White House meetings, 2 fascinating Democrats, and 2 bus trips!

Look for a note from me tomorrow with several takeaways from our board meeting. I am very anxious for your thoughts, but I wanted to share some quick feedback from our meeting this morning with Ivanka:


* Our meeting was scheduled for 30 minutes, but halfway through, she signaled to her staff to cancel her next meeting, and she stayed for another 30 minutes – 10 of which was visiting with everyone informally. Clearly the stories from the field were of great interest to her.


* While originally our meeting was completely off-the-record, Ivanka Tweeted<https://twitter.com/IvankaTrump/status/999339161793585158> and posted photos of our meeting on Instagram<https://www.instagram.com/p/BjIM1JNFWY_/>, thanking the USGLC for a productive discussion. In fact, if you are on Twitter or Instagram, please add a positive comment.


* By mid-afternoon, I received a thank you email from Ivanka, inviting me to share photos from the meeting with the group (attached). I think this bodes well for our continued of the discussion.

Derek will be following up with everyone on next steps for collecting your stories, so we can get them to Ivanka and her team.

For now – a quick thank you for your stamina and thoughtful participation in all the meetings, including a very productive morning today.
