We are especially proud of our eight Chapter-supported ALS clinics that provide comprehensive treatment and care from a team of medical professionals who especially understand the physical and emotional toll of ALS.
Today, we want to give a shout out to one of our supported centers - The Jefferson Weinberg ALS Center of the Vickie & Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience - for earning distinction as an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence.
To earn this certification, the Jefferson Weinberg ALS Center elected to invite an extensive review of its clinical care, treatment standards, and research by The ALS Association. Earning the designation Certified Treatment Center of Excellence signals that a center provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care, conducts groundbreaking ALS research, engages in ongoing best practices, promotes an environment that emphasizes hope and quality of life, and works with the Greater Philadelphia Chapter to ensure vital home- and community-based services are accessible to patients.
