I’ve been getting a bunch of great notes from people requesting more clips of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, or JRAD, as the band is commonly known. My cousin Jason says he’d rather listen to JRAD than anything else these days. I now see why. It’s hard to bemoan the downfall or death of rock and roll when there are brilliant young musicians reinterpreting the music the way these guys are—you’ll recall that the Grateful Dead, the Beatles and Rolling Stones all began by reinterpreting the blues. There is hope people!

And I can tell you this, I am going to see JRAD live when they come to DC next fall at our newest, and hottest venue, The Anthem.
