I'm back and so is the start of emails for the 2014 ZERO Prostate Cancer Challenge! In less than 3 months we will be holding our 8th ZERO Prostate Cancer Challenge Run. I know it is hard to believe that it is that time of the year again and the emails from me are starting again. However, you all know how important this is to our community, to prostate cancer patients and survivors and to me!

Mark your calendar now for Sunday, September 14, 2014, 8:30 am. This is our date and our time. In addition to our 10K and 5K runs and 1 Mile Walk, we have added an event for the kids - The Kids Superhero 100 Meter Dash. All of the events are being held at the Johnny Unitas Stadium at Towson University.

I am reaching out to you again this year hoping you will want to be a part of the ZERo Prostate Cancer Challenge. You make such an impact on all of our prostate cancer patients, survivors and our many participants. Over the last 8 years you have helped raise well over $2,000,000.

We have already raised close to $90,000 this year. Our cancer care program has provided free cancer screenings to over 6,000 men and diagnosed many prostate cancers and saved lives. Our scholarship through the Urology Care Foundation of the American Urological Association has been funded to $920,000. We are well on our way to fulfilling our $1,000,000 commitment by the end of 2014. This money funds a prostate cancer researcher.

Come out and participate for someone you care about who has been touched by prostate cancer or any cancer. Start to form your running and walking teams now!
