BIDEN LOSES BERNSTEIN: Jared Bernstein, Vice President Biden's top economic adviser, is leaving the White House at the end of April, an official in Biden’s office confirmed to POLITICO. The Wall Street Journal reported that Bernstein will join the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, a liberal group, and is "in advanced talks" to be a commentator for Bloomberg TV, the Journal says. An official told the paper that Bernstein is leaving because his calls for more stimulus spending weren't being heard by a GOP-controlled House in an environment focused on cuts. -- MJ Lee Eric D.
