I’m so proud of my son, Russ. Following in his father Mel’s footsteps, he’s always had a passion for public service. And also like Mel, he’s always worked across the aisle to forge common-sense solutions.

We need leaders like that in Missouri. While I’m convinced there’s more that unites us than divides us, all the partisanship and political rhetoric flying around can obscure our shared values.

We need leaders who can bridge the divide between ideologies and political parties to tackle the problems that concern us all, like raising incomes, making sure our kids are well educated, rebuilding our roads and bridges, and cleaning up corruption in Jefferson City. I believe Russ is one of those leaders.

Will you support Russ’ campaign for Missouri Lieutenant Governor by pitching in before the end-of-quarter deadline on June 30?

Russ has a history of working across the aisle. I know he’s especially proud of the work he did leading a bipartisan effort to establish the Missouri Childhood Lead Testing Program to identify at-risk children. That was an example of folks overcoming their differences to get the work done. We need more of that in Missouri.
