*Parents and Guardians:* * * *Last Thursday night's rehearsal was so inspiring! We all had great fun! Thank you all again for coming. For those of you who could not attend you are still a part of the evening. Please review instructions below for setup/cleanup, the seque, and the closing song.* ** *SET UP/CLEAN UP* *WE DESPERATELY STILL NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH SET UP AND CLEAN UP.* ** ** Please join us at *4:00pm on Friday, June 1 in the courtyard*. We would like volunteers to arrive at 4pm and plan on staying until at least 7:30pm. If you only have an hour or two of your time to donate, we will take it. Our hope is that we can get a fair amount of set up work done during this time. If the weather does not cooperate, we will still set up, inside the theater lobby...so rain or shine, your assistance is needed and will be greatly appreciated.**** Set up continues at *1pm on Saturday, June 2*. We cannot get onto the campus until then because SATs are taking place at the school. *We need all volunteers to arrive in the courtyard at 1pm*. Our hope is to finish no later than 5pm, so that we can get home, change, and be back ready to celebrate at 6.30! Again, if you only have an hour or two to donate, we will take it.**** Each committee will be setting up and breaking down, but we will also need additional volunteers to help with the break down Saturday evening. At the end of the evening, when we exit the campus but we need to leave the school in perfect condition. Clean up always takes much less time so we promise not to keep you too late. We anticipate that this should take* no longer than 30 minutes after the end of the evening* so please pitch in and help us out.**** ** ** Please confirm that you can attend...thank you in advance...and again, grab some friends and share this email with them!**** ** *SEQUE* **** The segue is going to be a blast. **** We were so pleased that everyone wanted to learn the whole thing. Be aware though, that you *DON'T* have to come in at the beginning. Some of you might want to wait until we repeat that first phrase. Those who are a bit further away might want to wait until after "jump off that sofa, let's get, get *off!"* where everyone points. Again, we think it will freak your kids out even more if you stand there awkwardly and then suddenly point and go into a shoulder shimmy!**** **** Of course the choice is completely yours. *Whenever you choose to come in though, do it BOLDLY!* And most important, smile and have fun. The kids are going to love it, especially if we love it too.**** **** Last, but definitely not least, tell your senior parent friends who weren't there how much fun we had on Thursday night.**** Have them at least watch the video of the rehearsal. *Don't worry if you didn't attend the rehearsal and don't have time even to look at the attachments. Just gather in the courtyard at 8: 10 when Polly and Lisa begin the welcome. All you have to do is copy what the other 4 demonstrators on the bench are doing and all will be well!* The more people we have participating the better.**** ** ** We uploaded last Thursday practice video to you tube for those who would like to see the final project. **** **** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jooNrVAeXiY**** **** *CLOSING SONG* Immediately after the end of the video in the theater*, ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS* will rise and move to the stage - we will fill the risers and then stand to the sides of the risers along the wings of the stage. Junior parents will hand out a song sheet to each parent as you enter the theater. Additionally, there will be extra song sheets on the piano for those who need them(same song sheet as attached here) and we'll sing the Beatles medley. HAVE FUN with this - smile, move with the music, enjoy and the kids will enjoy too! (A power point with the words to the song will appear on screen above/behind us as we sing.) Also there is an audio demo of the song (I will send as a seperate email, since some servers cannot accept such a large file) if you'd like to practice on your own (although a few words on the demo don't match the song sheet - we will be singing the words as they appear on the attached song sheet). *Don't worry if you didn't attend the rehearsal and don't have time even to look at the attachments. Just come on stage on June 2 with all the other parents/guardians and have fun!* After the end of the song, *ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS SHOULD REMAIN ON STAGE*. Polly and Lisa will thank everyone for coming and invite the *SENIORS TO EXIT THE AUDITORIUM FIRST (*there will be goody bags in the arts center lobby and a photo montage in the courtyard for the seniors). Parents/guardians will exit after the seniors. See you all Saturday, June 2 at 6:30pm Lisa and Polly**** **** ** ** *
