In 1968 when Senator Reid was first running for the Nevada Assembly, a high school senior named Shelley volunteered for his campaign (he won that race). Thirty years later, when Shelley decided to run for Congress, Senator and Mrs. Reid returned the favor and knocked doors for her.

Senator Reid's first rule in politics is remember your friends. Senator Reid and Shelley Berkley have a friendship spanning over 40 years. And now he's working hard to ensure she'll be his partner in the Senate.

On Thursday, June 21, Senator Reid will be hosting an event for Shelley in Washington. The 7:45 am breakfast will be held at The Source (575 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC).
