After a successful career as a dancer, Daniel May just as
successfully sashayed into a new career field when he felt it was
time:
"To be a dancer is an all-consuming passion. But it's a short-lived
career. It makes you drag your tired butt out of bed in the morning,
with every muscle aching, and trek down to the studio to start the
day with a barre, stretches, floor work, rehearsal, and in many
instances, your day ends with a performance. Dancers are conditioned
to be disciplined, but a life in dance can make your pulse race like
nothing else. When the music starts, you feel it in every fiber.
Like Cassie says in A Chorus Line, 'Play me the music, and give me
the chance to dance.'"

Theater stage at Planet Hollywood Hotel in Las Vegas. Before me were
150 beautiful faces, all contestants for 'So You Think You Can Dance

after making the cut for the show in Dallas, Brooklyn, Salt Lake, and
other cities. It was 8:45 in the morning and the dancers were there
for the next round of cuts, each hoping to make it to Los Angeles and
be on National TV.

Nigel Lythgoe, Executive Producer and Judge for the TV Show and the
Rolex Honoree last October at the CTFD Gala at City Center,
introduced myself and Paulette Fried. Both of us are CTFD Client

mission, to empower them to identify their individual paths and
career possibilities and to equip them with the skills and
information to excel in a variety of disciplines. Our orientation
ended with resounding applause!
