Brendon -

I know that you have heard a lot about Jim Mowrer over the past several months. I want to tell you something you might not know. Jim is going to win this race.

As the only veteran currently in Iowa's congressional delegation, I'd like to see this important viewpoint represented in the next congress the way I know Jim will. But I'm not supporting Jim just because he has served in the Army. I'm supporting him because he is right on the issues and Congressman Steve King is not.

One of the biggest points of disagreement with Steve King is increasing the minimum wage. Jim strongly supports the increase and he believes, as I do, that no one in America who works 40 hours a week should be living below the poverty line. Steve King not only doesn't support this long overdue increase, he recently suggested he'd like to see the minimum wage simply "drift away." That doesn't reflect the views of most Iowans I know.
