Dear Hunter,

As the year begins to wane, I wanted to share with you my last two forbes.com columns which you may not have yet seen. As you know, I have been writing about the leadership deficit facing the global community, and especially afflicting the United States as it deals with domestic and global challenges in the wake of last week’s midterm elections. The ballot box returns registered intense voter dissatisfaction with the political elite in Washington. This week, I released a column (http://www.forbes.com/sites/paullaudicina/2014/11/10/one-speed-politics-two-speed-economics/) about the need for government and business leaders, with the support of the public, to put heads together to forge a new social compact in order to ensure sustainable economic prosperity.

In my previous column (http://www.forbes.com/sites/paullaudicina/2014/10/09/ebola-global-leadership-lessons/), I discussed how the Ebola epidemic has highlighted that effective leadership must rest upon a trust in the capability, reliability, and authenticity of our leaders. Medical professionals consistently are more trusted than politicians because they exhibit those three elements of trust. What do our political leaders need to do in order to restore trust and lead more effectively?
