Happy Veterans Day, Hunter. Ninety-five years ago today, President Woodrow Wilson declared the eleventh day of the eleventh month of each year Armistice Day -- commemorating the official end of the fighting between the Allied Forces and Germany during World War I. It was celebrated annually each year, on 11/11, at 11am, primarily to honor World War I Veterans. That changed in the mid-1950s and the day become one to honor all veterans, and as Public Law 380 puts it, "a day dedicated to world peace." Today, America pauses to reflect upon and give thanks to the service of everyone who has served their country honorably at home and abroad. At VoteVets, we'll do the same. We're honored to stand with over 400,000 veterans, military family members, and VoteVets supporters in the effort to ensure veterans have a voice on the issues important to us in Congress and State Capitol Buildings across the country.
