We are under attack by our own Councilmember in District 1, Roger Berliner. He
is proposing such sweeping environmental legislation that it will once again
push more business to other jurisdictions.

We, the residents of Montgomery County, already pay some of the highest taxes
in United States for using electricity (about 10% - this tax was spearheaded by
Berliner). He is now trying to increase the tax on commercial building owners
and eventually apartment owners, developers and the average homeowner for energy
usage. Also, you need to be very concerned about future additions to your home
and property. You could lose value and the ability to build or renovate if his
bills pass.

Our roads are in disrepair (have you driven in Bethesda recently?). We have been
abandoned by Roger Berliner.
