>> RHB - Minister Razvan Nicolescu from Romania is going to be at the Breakfast on the 22nd with JRB. Can someone from the delegation maybe do a pull aside with him? Just a meet and greet? He doesn't have any real agenda that I know about. attached is his CV and here is the person to contact for a meeting: victor.grigorescu@energie.gov.ro - Victor is an advisor to the Minister and will be with him in Turkey. He will coordinate any kind of meeting on the sidelines.

>>> Dear Minister Nicolescu,
>>> The Atlantic Council team looks forward to your participation in the 2014 Atlantic Council Energy & Economic Summit next week. The Summit promises to be an exciting two days of discussion on the energy, economic, and political issues affecting the region and the world.
>>> It has become customary in past years to convene the Leaders’ Council one day before the Summit, to set the stage for the meetings to follow and to provide key stakeholdrs an opportunity to engage with one another and with top policymakers in a private setting. The Leaders’ Council is made up of members of the Atlantic Council Board of Directors and International Advisory Board; top government officials and thought-leaders; and top representatives of our major Summit partners.
>>> To keep up the tradition of us gathering on the eve of the Summit, I would like to extend an invitation to the Leaders’ Council Dinner on the eve of the Summit on Wednesday, November 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Panorama Room of the Grand Tarabya Hotel. This year we are pleased to host the Turkish Minister of Finance Mehmet Şimşek as our special guest speaker for a discussion on the Turkish, regional and global economic and financial outlook.
>>> This year it is also our great privilege to welcome Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States of America, as our guest speaker at a special Chairman’s breakfast the day after the Summit on Saturday, November 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Vice President will discuss the political, security and energy challenges the region must confront, and address the dangers to the vision of a Europe whole, free and at peace. Atlantic Council chairman Jon Huntsman and I would be honored if you could join us for this special, invitation-only event.
>>> We hope very much that you will be able to attend both the Leaders’ Council Dinner on Wednesday with Minister Şimşek and the Chairman’s breakfast with the Vice President on Saturday.
>>> I would be very grateful if you or your office could advise us by hitting “reply all” or emailing Bina Hussein at bhussein@atlanticcouncil.org, who is coordinating these events, whether you are able to attend either or both. For security and seating purposes, please respond by Tuesday morning, November 18. (We regret we are unable to seat substitutes).
>>> Because of these gatherings’ exclusive nature, this invitation is not transferrable.
>>> We look forward to seeing you in Istanbul!
>>> Yours,
>>>
