As a candidate for Governor, I knew I needed a partner who would stand with me to help build on our State’s successes and work to make Maryland better for more Marylanders.

That choice was easy.

Under Ken Ulman's leadership, Howard County has the lowest unemployment rate and top-ranked county school system in the State. Ken has worked to create a vibrant local economy, invested in green jobs, and spearheaded efforts to stop domestic violence and bullying.

He’s aimed high and he's proven himself to be one of the most effective leaders in our State.

Today, as Ken delivered his final State of the County address as County Executive, I hope you'll join me in thanking him for his leadership over these last eight years -- I can't wait to see the great things he'll do as our next Lieutenant Governor.
