Michelle Obama and Jill Biden appeared on "The Gayle King Show" Tuesday to talk about military families and give a few glimpses into their family lives.

In a segment that Us Weekly would have called “Celebs: They’re just like us!,” Obama and Biden talked about Sasha Obama and the Biden’s granddaughter Maisy’s basketball team and how much both families loved to watch them play. “He was an assistant coach, technically,” said the first lady about her husband. She added that “every Sunday [the president] would do clinics for girls on the team and that coaching was “his favorite thing.”

Obama noted that the president and vice president would get really into the games. “We have to kind of calm Joe and Barack down because they’re like ‘rahhh go!’ and it’s like look, you can’t scream at the kids…You see little kids going ‘Is that the president yelling at me to play tighter defense?’ I’m like, just tone it down a little bit,” said the first lady.

Another reason that the Obama girls are just like other kids? Chores. Said Obama, “As I tell them, they will not live in the White House forever. If they’re 17 and 18 and can’t make a bed, they’ll be pretty pathetic.” She also disclosed that this summer Malia will be adding laundry to her list of chores. “Grandma’s going to be in charge of that cause my mother still does her own laundry. She doesn’t want strangers touching her intimate wears,” said the first lady.
