President Donald Trump has canceled a planned trip by several of his Cabinet members to a major economic forum in Davos, Switzerland, the White House said Thursday. Earlier in the day, he had forced a group of Democrats to scrap overseas travel during the ongoing partial government shutdown.

"Out of consideration for the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay and to ensure his team can assist as needed, President Trump has canceled his Delegation's trip to the World Economic Forum," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.
