President Donald Trump announced that he will deliver a primetime address about the border Tuesday night, as he digs in on his wall funding demands that have pushed the government into a prolonged partial shutdown.

"I am pleased to inform you that I will Address the Nation on the Humanitarian and National Security crisis on our Southern Border. Tuesday night at 9:00 P.M. Eastern," Trump tweeted.
