Club Pink Parents – I hope everyone is beating the heat and having a fun summer. A few items for you to consider and respond to:


1) I received the email below from Corey at Holy Cross who runs the CNC Tournament next Thursday and Friday in Germantown. She had a team drop out of the 2016/17 division and wanted to know if any of us had interest in playing. I told her that it was doubtful we could field an entire team, but she said she would let anyone play that wanted to play. She would assemble a team from others that are interested in playing. She reports there are 300+ teams at this tournament. If anyone is interested in playing, please let me know ASAP, and I will send her an email with a headcount. My guess is that she would find a coach if necessary.


2) As many of you know, Caitlin’s business is growing rapidly and thus she has been unable to join us for many practices and games. For the fall, she expects she will continue hiring and needs to focus on her livelihood. She apologized and felt badly for missing so much of our Spring season. However, she and I discussed possible solutions and decided that she would continue as a volunteer coach for our team, showing up when she can. I then met with a woman named Jackie Raff who grew up here, played at Holy Cross, played for Kathy Jenkins (St. Stephens) and played at William & Mary. Jackie has interest in coaching and has offered to commit to Club Pink for the entire Fall Season. She will commit to our entire schedule. She is a very positive, energetic person and I believe she will be an excellent fit for us.


3) I have also been discussing our stepping up to the 7th/8th grade division. While we may not have the success of our past seasons, we will benefit by playing better teams. Again, I will say that stickwork will make the difference between winning and losing! So I am planning to register our team in the 7th/8th grade division this fall. We will keep our roster intact, unless any of you email me telling me otherwise.


4) I will be putting together our fall budget next week and let you know ASAP what our costs will be per player.


SO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHO IS INTERESTED IN PLAYING AT THE CNC TOURNEY AND LET ME KNOW IF I NEED TO REMOVE ANYONE FROM OUR FALL ROSTER.

Hope the summer is going well!

I left you a VM last night about an opening in the 2016/17 division in the CNC Tournament that we run at the MD Soccerplex starting July 15th. We would LOVE for club pink to join us and fill in this new opening. You would be given a very discounted rate and I promise that it will be a fantastic experience for the girls and the team as a whole. Below is the schedule that you would play, please let me know if you need any other information rom me in order to pitch this to your team. You would be helping us out, and it would be quite the experience for the younger girls to be around such high level high school lacrosse - and get competition from other teams even outside our area.

Please feel free to give me a call at any point today or tomorrow to discuss details - i am happy to help in any way that i can.

While I am emailing you I do have one more question: Do you have the contact info for Chris Cox at Fort Hunt? or any other fort Hunt coach?
