Dear All: I have been talking to many of you about this delegation and we are excited by your interest. Please see attached a price sheet. We have secured very favorable pricing on the best, most secure hotels (in Erbil and Dohuk) and on roundtrip airfare on Turkish Airlines, which has the shortest duration flights from the US to Erbil. Please see the attached. Let Ayal or I know if you have any questions. As you know, Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman, the Representative of the KRG to the US, will be leading this delegation. Oliver Westmacott, the CEO of Garda International, will be co-leading it as a representative of the members of the USKBC Board of Directors. On behalf of both, as well as on behalf of the USKBC's esteemed Chairman General Jim Jones, we would be honored if you would consider coming to Kurdistan at this interesting and exciting time. Note, we have also built in a charitable component to the trip and will be delivering school uniforms to children at a refugee camp in Kurdistan. This program is being coordinated with the non-profit, Linking the World, led by Mina Chang. Happy Thanksgiving. Warm regards, [http://logo.dentons.com/dentons_logo.png] David M. Sent: Thursday, November 17, 2016 4:55 PM Cc: 'Ayal Frank'; 'James Jones'; Zaki, Jasmine; 'Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman' Subject: Update - USKBC Trip to Kurdistan and Draft Itinerary, Dec. 12-17 Dear All: We are excited to provide you with a draft itinerary and schedule of meetings for our business delegation to Kurdistan this December. Please note that we have tentatively arranged meetings with Prime Minister H.E. Nechirwan Barzani, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Qubad Talabany, Minister of Natural Resources Ashti Hawrami, and Minister of Interior and Peshmerga Sinjari. This will be an interesting and exciting trip, at a very critical time. We will conclude the trip with an optional event, which will be an emotional visit to Peshmerga troops on Flag Day (as we did with the delegation last year) and will be honored guests at the ceremony. I will be sending to you a price list shortly with special discounts on international airfare and hotel. NOTE, we are planning to contribute 25% of all revenues to buy school uniforms for children in refugee and IDP camps. These kids are permitted to attend local Kurdish schools, but their families cannot afford to buy them the uniforms. As a result, they stand out as refugee children in school and face difficulties in fitting in with the other children. By purchasing these uniforms in advance, we will then have an option visit to one of the IDP camps near Dohuk and help distribute the uniforms during the delegation visit to Kurdistan. This promises to be a very informative and interesting delegation. We are very excited about this programming and hope you can come with us. Please let me know if you have any questions and RSVP to Ayal if you can attend with us. Warm regards, [http://logo.dentons.com/dentons_logo.png] David M. This delegation will be led by The Representative of the Kurdistan Region to the U.S., Ms. Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman. We expect top KRG officials and Peshmerga officers in Kurdistan to meet with us for this trip, as always. This trip will come at a very crucial time economically, and politically, for Kurdistan, and for Iraq, especially as the effort to push ISIS out of Iraq completely should be close to fruition and new economic and political opportunities may be on the horizon. The tentative dates we are looking to for the delegation are December 11 - 17. This is the same week we went last year. Those who were able to come with us last year know that we had a very exciting and interesting trip. The trip concluded with our delegation serving as honored guests of the Kurdistan Region's Peshmerga for Flag Day in the town of Makhmour. We plan to participate again this year in the Flag Day ceremonies, which will likely be a very moving experience. [cid:image003.jpg@01D240F1.6F64D1E0] USKBC delegation on Kurdistan Flag Day 2015 Please let us know if these dates work for you for an exciting trip to Kurdistan. You can respond with your interest or with any questions to Ayal Frank at afrank@mercuryllc.com<mailto:afrank@mercuryllc.com> (in the cc line above). Please also feel free to reach out to those who came on the trip last year to hear their impressions of the delegation and what we accomplished. We hope you will consider coming with us on this exciting trip. This visit will focus on all industry sectors in Iraq, but especially on energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, and defense and security. There is no additional charge for participating in the delegation for USKBC members. There will be a reasonable participation fee for non-members. We look forward to hearing from you. Warm regards, David M. Tafuri
