Dear Robert,

I want to thank you for all the support you've given me over the course of this campaign. I am grateful to everyone who worked so hard for change in California.

We came up short last night, but we have a lot to be proud of. We highlighted the importance of having an Attorney General to protect consumers, to innovate in reducing crime, and to keep Californians safe online and on our streets.

I'd like to congratulate District Attorney Kamala Harris on her victory and send my congratulations to all my opponents on a well-run race.

There is much to do for our Democratic ticket led by Jerry Brown, so I hope you'll join me in doing everything you can to help them this November.
