Dear Colleagues, Please take a look at our recent report, The Trump Administration Has a Bipartisan Opportunity to Combat Human Trafficking (http://csis.us11.list-manage.com/track/click?u=833ec271d60c6750d9c3baaac&id=ed2afb5f75&e=e55aaf27de) . Human trafficking is a transnational threat related to national security, human rights, corporate supply chains, and global development. The digital age has allowed traffickers to use the Internet for recruitment, advertisement, and the trade and sale of victims. The new Trump administration has a critical opportunity to work across both political and agency lines to reduce the existence of this global problem. Last month, President Trump vowed to fight the “epidemic” that is human trafficking, committing to reevaluate federal resources allocated toward the issue. In order to do so effectively, the administration needs to approach the issue in a strategic and informed manner. I hope you can find the time to read this, and welcome any feedback that you might have. Please feel free to reach out to the co-author, Jena Santoro (JSantoro@csis.org), with any questions or concerns. Thanks again!
