Hello Board! The Joe Foundation folks have asked that Patty and I send them a compilation of highlights each week so the VP and Dr. B are in the loop. It occurred to me I should have been doing this for you guys for months now. So, here’s the first edition of our week in review! On Saturday March 18, the BBF hosted the second annual BBF Trail Race at Granogue. Over 800 people registered and the Foundation raised in excess of $25,000. The runners have until April 1 to continue to fundraise for their respective teams, so we’ll have final numbers then. Each registered runner will receive a congratulatory note from the Foundation in the next week. As a result of the race’s online registration, we added hundreds of new emails to our list. We’re working with our digital consultants to create an onboarding series of messages for them - substantive and programatic emails first, then fundraising appeals. Many of the registrants were new to the Foundation, so we want to make sure the new additions get programming messages before fundraising messages. On Monday, March 20, Josh and Patty met with the leadership of student leadership of Beau’s fraternity, Psi Upsilon at Penn (known as the Castle). We will be training their brothers in Stewards of Children before the end of the school year. Additionally, we’ll be working with them next fall to develop a core group of volunteers for our events, partnerships on Penn’s campus and fundraising opportunities though their charitable work (soccer tournaments, flag football, etc). We launched our second round of Facebook acquisitions, this time focused on our tipsheet for parents signing kids up for summer camps. One of the images and content are below. The tip sheet is here: https://www.beaubidenfoundation.org/blog/2017/parent-checklist-summer-program-safety/?blm_aid=0 <https://www.beaubidenfoundation.org/blog/2017/parent-checklist-summer-program-safety/?blm_aid=0> Headline (optimum 25 characters, Title Case) Summer Safety Tips Text (optimum 30 characters) Protect Your Kids This Summer Images Considering Summer Camp?
