Comprehensive Plan Update Long Beach Community and Friends, How do you envision Long Beach's future? Are there things you would like to see added or changed in the Town? You have the opportunity to share your vision by participating in Long Beach's Comprehensive Plan. The Town selected McKenna and Associates, an independent and experienced firm that specializes in community planning, to help facilitate the planning process. It's a six month effort that provides several opportunities for ALL property owners to be involved, including those who can't make it to every meeting or those who might be seasonal residents. Survey Has Been Mailed A letter has been mailed to each property in Long Beach (based on the Water Department billing addresses) with instructions on how to participate in the Comprehensive Plan Survey. One survey will be provided per household. If you did not receive a survey by Monday, April 18, please reach out to [longbeachapc@gmail.com]. Next Meeting - Sat., April 16 @ 9am CST As a reminder, the next community meeting (the Visioning Session) will occur Saturday, April 16 at 9am CST in the Community Center Gym. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Missed the March 19 Meeting? That's ok. Here is a link to the presentation made by McKenna and Associates to introduce the plan - Comprehensive Plan Kick Off and Introduction Presentation 3.18.16.pdf [http://longbeachin.org/sites/default/files/Comprehensive%20Plan%20Kick%20Off%20and%20Introduction%203.18.16.pdf]. Questions? Find the latest information at [http://www.longbeachin.org] or email any of your questions to [longbeachapc@gmail.com]. What is a Comprehensive Plan? A Comprehensive Plan is a document required by the state of Indiana that serves as a strategic plan, and from time-to-time should be updated to reflect the goals and aspirations of the community. Long Beach has not updated the plan since 2009 and this is an opportunity to invite input from all homeowners and align the needs of the whole community.
