Dear Robert Biden

More than two years have passed since we embarked on a mission: our mission 2014 – the return to the FIA World Endurance Championship and perhaps the toughest long-distance race in the world: Le Mans.

Our engineers started from scratch, scrutinised every detail and left the past behind. The 82nd edition of this traditional race then offered everything that this classic is famous for. There was no happy ending for Porsche this time, but there was the most profound confidence in our principles and the anticipation of returning even stronger next year.

The Porsche teams also delivered strong team performances with the 919 Hybrid and the 911 RSR in the other races. They were rewarded with podium places in Silverstone, Fuji, Shanghai and Bahrain. Finally the season was crowned by the spectacular overall victory at the last race in Sao Paulo.

Our special thanks go out to all the team members, to our backers and, of course, to our fans. The mission continues – work on the LMP1 race car for 2015 is progressing at full speed.
