I hate to use members of my family as typical voters, but had a conversation with my Dad tonight and I would say control of the Senate may hinge on people like him. I am sure you know this but he was a life long registered moderate Republican who had been voting Democrat in recent elections but changed his registration to D in 2008 to vote for Obama in the Dem Primary and was an enthusiastic Obama voter in the general (and all other D's on the ticket). He first said this year his inclination was not to vote because he is fed up with politicians. Then he told me he is really scared of Corbett who is running for Gov of PA. He then said maybe he'd vote just to see if he could vote against Corbett. He hates Corbett because he is pro-guns, pro-life and anti-environment. He then thought more and said he also doesn't like Toomey and if he goes to vote he guesses he'd vote for Sestak. There's the election in a nutshell. If we can scare people like my Dad into voting they'll vote Democrat. That said not sure we can scare my Mom. If she votes she'll vote Libertarian as a protest. My Grandmother probably won't vote - she still is mad at Obama for beating Hillary and is fed up with politics because of it. Can't believe this is what the election has come to. Eric D.
