Dear 12th Grade Parents/Guardians, Congratulations on making it to second semester senior year! We hope you all enjoyed a restful holiday break filled with family and good cheer. No doubt both you and your children are thrilled to have all the college applications completed and submitted and midterms finished. Hopefully everyone has a chance to take a deep breath and prepare for the last exciting months of senior year. Key dates for senior parents through January: January 23, Yearbook recognition ad deadline for senior parents (more information below) Yearbook Recognitions: Dear Senior Parents, Put your thoughts and feelings into words and pictures! Yearbook recognition ads for graduating seniors are a great way for parents, families, and friends to commemorate student achievements and important milestones. In addition, revenues from recognition ads help Sidwell to create a better yearbook. We’re very excited to announce that all of the yearbook pages will be printed in full color. Also, all of the recognition ads can now be designed online directly by you! To design and pay for your personalized yearbook ad, please follow the directions below. Your ad order must be received by Monday, January 23, 2017. Please be aware that space is limited to one yearbook recognition ad per graduating senior. If you have any questions, feel free to contact one of the yearbook editors via email (Alex Baker at abaker17@sidwell.edu, Lily Gravitz at lgravitz17@sidwell.edu, and Gracie Shulman at gshulman17@sidwell.edu). YEARBOOK AD PRICES HALF PAGE = $325 QUARTER PAGE = $175 EIGHTH PAGE = $75 Senior Celebration Help Needed: Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to our Senior Celebration kick off meeting. We had a very productive hour… many great ideas. We heard from a lot of parents who could not make the meeting but are excited to help out. We have created a sign up genius so those of you who could not attend can let us know how you would like to help. As you will see in the sign up – there are many different ways to help. Please note that even if you cannot help with the planning, we want you for the show. There will be times during the evening when all of the parents will take the stage but there will also be many cameo opportunities. If you have a particular performance skill (singing/dancing/acting) please speak up. Even if (like us) you do not, we want you up on the stage so please consider volunteering for an individual or group cameo. If you signed up during our meeting in early December, there is no need to sign up again, however, we probably do have more volunteers than we need for certain activities (e.g., swag and photo booth) so if you signed up for one or both of those, please consider another activity. We especially need parents willing to take on the role of CAPTAIN for each of the activities. The coffee will now take place on Thursday, March 9th in the Choral Room.One More Plea For Grade-wide Potluck Host:Now that the college application process and the holidays are behind us, we thought we would ask one more time for a grade-wide potluck host.
