Please feel free to contact us at 303.831.0100 with any questions in between updates._ _Tuesday, November 2, 2010_ _Alabama_ With 27% reporting, the New York Times is reporting Luther Strange (R) with 52.2% and James Anderson (D) with 47.8% _Arkansas_ Dustin McDaniel Wins Re-election as Arkansas Attorney General By The Associated Press - 11/2/2010 8:26:27 PM LITTLE ROCK - Dustin McDaniel, the Democrat who has served as Arkansas attorney general for the past four years, has been re-elected. McDaniel had no Republican opponent in the general election, despite GOP criticism of McDaniel's decision not to join a lawsuit challenging the federal health-care overhaul. His only opposition was Green Party nominee Rebekah Kennedy. Despite lacking a major-party opponent, McDaniel campaigned aggressively, running advertisements on television and in newspapers. "For every young girl in this room tonight, this is for you because tonight, a woman is your next Attorney General for the first time Florida history," said Bondi to hundreds of supporters in the Pepin Hospitality Center. At 10:00pm, Bondi took the podium and said she just got off the phone with opponent Dan Gelber (D) who she said conceded the race to her. Throughout the night, Bondi widened her lead against Gelber in most Bay area counties. At Gelber's concession, the statewide results showed Bondi with 57% of the vote over Gelber's 39%. _Georgia_ With 58% of precincts reporting, the Georgia Secretary of State reports 53% Sam Olens (R), 43% Ken Hodges (D). _Source: Georgia Secretary of State_ _Illinois _ Lisa Madigan wins attorney general re-election November 2, 2010 ASSOCIATED PRESS Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has won re-election to a third term. Madigan handily defeated Republican newcomer Steve Kim, Green Party candidate David Black and Libertarian Bill Malan. The 44-year-old Madigan became the state's first female attorney general in 2003. She won the 2006 election with more than 70 percent of the vote. _Kentucky_ Republican Rand Paul defeated Democratic Attorney General Jack Conway to win the open Senate seat in Kentucky, according to the Associated Press. _Massachusetts_ Ten months after she suffered defeat to Scott Brown in the battle for Senator Edward M. Kennedy's old seat, Attorney General Martha Coakley was poised to easily win a second term as the state's chief lawyer today in a race against a political newcomer from Millbury. With 14 percent of precincts reporting, the 57-year-old Democratic attorney general was leading Republican James P. McKenna, a former prosecutor in Suffolk and Worcester counties, 63 percent to 36 percent. McKenna, who now works as a solo practitioner, was only the second candidate since the 1970s to obtain a nomination for statewide office through a write-in campaign. _Source: Massachusetts Secretary of State_ _New York_ With 5% reporting, the New York Times reports Eric Schneiderman (D) 50.7% Dan Donovan (R) 47.9%. _Ohio_ Early returns (less than 2 percent) are in for the statewide races and so far incumbent Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray is carrying about 49 percent of the vote, leading challenger Mike DeWine (45.6 percent) and two others in the race to be Ohio's top lawyer for the next four years. _cleveland. com (AP)_ _Rhode Island_ With 85% the Rhode Island Secretary of State is reporting a victory for Democrat Peter Kilmartin in the Rhode Island Attorney General’s race.
