Hi Joan, This looks great, my comments / suggestions below: 1. General a. Add a double space after the punctuation of each sentence; you only have a single space. 2. TARP a. Describe who is on "the Panel" - one or two names b. Can you add a quote of a Wall St analyst? c. Add the date of the questioning of Caldwell 3. DOL a. Add the link on the DOL website that has this information 4. Summers a. Seems like you are implying "Big Business" is in the middle. I am not sure if that is what we are trying to say. Also, I would not use the term "Big Business", it's a derogatory term from the left. b. "But some say" - try and name someone and a quite c. "isn't usually such a big deal" - we should add back up or remove it. d. NEC is not a common acronym and is the name of a company, so it might be confusing to a non-political reader 5. Fannie Freddie a. Add the specifics about what "economy tipping" back into recession - did the report specify or define what constitutes "tipping"? This would be interesting to our readers. b. What changes will Obama suggest next year? c. The math on net cost I think should be taken out unless that is a direct paraphrase from the report, and if so cite the report as providing this logic. This is fuzzy math at best. 6. Tea Party a. "in their minds" - remove and rework, we shouldn't claim to be mind readers b. General comment: although the Tea Party pisses off a lot of people what whatever reason, the reality is that it shows how awesome and beautiful our democracy is. That people are free to organize and if they get enough other like-minded people together, they can actually make a difference. No different that women getting the right to vote, or gays getting the right to marry. So I think we should look at the Tea Party as a phenomenon of our democracy and citizenship and not sound like "those crazy Tea Party people" - it's a free country and hat's off to them for doing something about what they believe. And sure they are getting millions of dollars from people, but it's no different than the Union giving millions of dollars to people they like, so that's moot. Just a thought. Also - if Ann Fudge is appointed the NEC, I am moving to Canada. I worked for her in the past - she's indecisive, does not do her homework and is a poor judge of talent. If they are trying to reward her with a job for raising money, it should be something like the Ambassadorship to Iceland, but not an important job.
