Club Pink - There is no practice tomorrow. Our field contract ran thru 10/27. I will be talking to Holy Cross about possibly renting a field next Wednesday and the following Wednesday in preparation for the New World Lax tournament on 11/20. I will get back to you about the practice and the tournament next week. We will need to start between 5:00 and 5:15 to beat the sunset. Please let meknow if this affects your daughters' availability for 11/10 and 11/17. Thanks. Coach Raff and I were very pleased with how our girls rose to meet the challenge this past Sunday. They did not back down, and in fact, I believe many of them reached deeper than ever before to play their hardest and fight for the win. We knew going in that the team was formidable and we would need everything to go right for us to have a chance. Well, we had a chance (it was a 2 goal game in the 4th quarter). We did a good job neutralizing the faceoffs, we competed hard for ground balls, we showed hunger for the goal and we moved the ball well. Our team passed the ball better than their team. That team is great because of their power game. They are big, fast and athletic. They used these advantages to score many isolation goals. We played better team lacrosse which is what kept us in the game. I will take team lacrosse over power lacrosse any day (win or lose)! That is how the Creator meant the game to be played. We all should be proud of them. I have received 10 requests to play indoor this winter. I assume this is everyone who wants to play. Not sure about Isabella yet, but this league plays goalies, and so every girl needs to be prepared to step in the goal. A few of you have commented that your daughters are playing CYO bball. If you get a schedule, please let me know what times the games are and I can look into possible conflicts (Sunday afternoons). I would hesitate to take a player who is likely to have many conflicts because it will be unfair to the other team members. However, because we do not want more than 10 on any one team, if we do get more requests to play, we will attempt to form a second team. Alternatively, I may need to cut off taking names and place only the first 10 on the roster. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
