*Ted Appears in 60 Minutes Story, Profiled by TIMEs

CBS *60 Minutes* recently took an in-depth look at the
shadowy world of high frequency trading and the May 6 "flash crash."
Ted who has been urging the Securities and Exchange Commission to
deal effectively with market structure issues since August 2009
appeared in the story and urged the critical importance of transparency and
fairness for the future of U.S. capital markets.

**Pre-Election
Presidential Transition Act* Becomes Law*

Teds bill -- which
encourages presidential candidates to engage in transition planning before
Election Day -- was signed into law by President Obama on Oct.
15.

The Pre-Election Presidential Transition Act gives future presidential
campaigns the additional resources and incentive they need to begin
transition planning long before Election Day, ending the measuring the
drapes stigma too often attached to it," said Ted.

*Ted
Appointed to TARP Oversight Panel; Elected Chair*

In September, Majority
Leader Harry Reid appointed Ted as a member of the Congressional
Oversight Panel (COP), which oversees the Troubled Asset Relief Program
(TARP). Ted was elected unanimously to serve as the panels new
chairman, replacing Elizabeth Warren. Although TARP expired last month, many
of its programs will continue to spend money, and COP is expected to
produce five more reports before the panel ends its oversight activities
on April 3, 2011.
