Hunter, Here are two potential targets for conversations with Arthur Levine. As we discussed, he's head of the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship Foundation and a recognized leader in forwarding teacher excellence. He's been in touch with the folks over at Education previously, mostly at the DAS level, and has been included at the key education announcement by the President. He was Dean of the Teacher's College at Columbia and is a very engaging guy. I think the below contacts would represent excellent opportunities for the Foundation and the Administration to deepen their relationship, and discuss how the Foundation is improving STEM teaching across the country, leveraging private money for public good. President's Council of Advisors in Science and Technology (PCAST): responsible for new policy proposals for improving STEM education - staff or committee members- Change the Equation: Newly formed 501C3, CEO led effort to improve STEM teaching across the country. I would think there is a coordinating policy person who directed to STEM teacher excellence. Thanks much, Steve
