Hi folks, Looking forward to having you at our office at 9:30 am on Monday, Jan 23. Ashley has standing work meetings at that time, so it’ll just be us - I will brief her later. Our office is at Delaware Law School, 4601 Concord Pike, Wilmington. We’re in Polishook Hall, Suite 300 (Polishook Hall is marked as number 5 on this map: http://delawarelaw.widener.edu/about/visit-us/campus-map/). I thought we could discuss: 1. the upcoming board meeting (draft agenda attached). 2. volunteer coordinator positon (draft job description attached) and the best way to fill the position. 3. 2017 Goals. Patty and I worked with Wil Sherk to develop the goals below. We’d like your feedback and input on them before we present to the board. 4. Future fundraising events: DC or NYC event; 5k in WIlmington in November; partnership with Blue Rocks in the summer. 5. How the BBF exists now that the JRB Foundation is formed. Let me know if you have any additions to this list or edits. Patty and I are thrilled about our success in 2016 and are looking forward to talking with you about 2017! Thanks, Josh Beau Biden Foundation 2017 Objectives: Increase the foundation's capacity to educate, train, and advocate Add volunteer management and administrative support capability to staff - have on board by March 1st. Develop a dependable network of volunteers who can deliver training and programs Netsmartz - 25 trainers, all three counties Stewards of Children - 14 trainers (4 so far) Visibility - 50 Create and sustain a committee of community advisors in Delaware, focusing first on Sussex County. More than just supporters - these folks are the eyes and ears on the ground. In particular, focus on community leaders and the grass top-type folks. Cultivate and secure donors who are committed to the foundation's mission - 1. Online grassroots donors through aggressive email campaigns, digital advertising and list acquisition. 2. Foundations and corporate donors (no longer focus on program underwriting at the corporate level. 3. Individuals - especially those who have never written an check to a Biden, but care about the cause. Prepare and explore the possible acquisition of Darkness to Light (three year plan). Train 5,000 adults in Delaware in Stewards of Children, with a focus on law enforcement and educators. We will train other groups as needed, but the focus on cultivation and development of trainings should remain on these two groups. Measure the effectiveness of NetSmartz training - work with DelTech to develop a questionnaire (Spring Semester) and then analyze the data (Fall Semester) Begin deep discussions about creating online content about inappropriate contact for children age 4 to 11.
