Dear Board of Directors,

Just as Secretary Tillerson heads to Capitol Hill to defend the Administration’s budget cuts on Tuesday morning, the USGLC will kick off our State Leaders Summit with nearly 500 influential leaders, including 150 veterans. The timing couldn’t be more poignant.

I am very pleased to share with you our newest additions. On a close-hold basis – until we finalize security details – Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan and Press Secretary Sean Spicer just confirmed to join our Summit program. This will be the first time Deputy Secretary Sullivan will address our issues publicly, and apparently, he will be tasked with handling State’s response to the Executive Order on reorganization.

Few items for all Board members:

* Please try to make every effort to join us in the Green Room throughout the day this Tuesday.
* We really need you to meet and greet the luminaries prior to each session. As you know, the conversations off stage will be absolutely critical for our cause.
* We will have private work stations with plenty of food and drinks for you to use during the day.
* Of utmost importance is to have a strong showing in the Green Room with Sullivan and Spicer starting at 4:45pm and concluding by 6:15pm.
