** Putin Ridicules Allegations
------------------------------------------------------------
President Vladimir Putin of Russia today denied that Moscow had colluded with members of Donald Trump’s campaign team before the new administration took office, and said that U.S. allegations that Russia tipped the 2016 presidential election on behalf of Trump “reminds me of anti-Semitism and blaming the Jews.” The Kremlin leader said that Democrats, having lost the election, were trying to put the blame on Russia to cover for their own campaign failures.

** Jobs Report Leaves Fed Room to Raise Rates

What a smile this week corresponding with all of you about Gregg Allman, the Allman Brothers Band and “Live at The Fillmore East.” My friend Bill sent me an incredible email the other day in which he discussed the fact that he saw James Brown perform live at the Apollo in 1960!

I maintain that “Live at The Fillmore East” is the greatest live record in music history. At least it sounds the best to me.

Recorded over the course of several nights in March 1971, it captured the Allman Brothers performing with blistering energy and maximum precision while they virtually invented an entire genre of music—southern rock.
