All I attended the Long-Term Infrastructure Investors Association meeting in New York on Monday. Speakers included Patrick Foye, Executive Director, The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey; Martin Klepper, Executive Director, Build America, U.S. Department of Transportation; Jim Leech, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister on the Canada Infrastructure Bank and Joe Hockey, Australian Ambassador to the USA and one of the pioneers in asset recycling. One of the primary goals of LTIIA is to improve the transparency of infrastructure investing. They have partnered with EDHEC who has completed their initial work on a Private Equity Europe All Infrastructure index (see attached.) They are now turning their sites toward U.S. infrastructure Index. As a result I would ask my fellow Fund Directors and our consultant friends to encourage their infrastructure investment managers to participate in this worthwhile project. To our infrastructure manager friends included in this email I would hope you and your organizations would consider participating. Finally to our friends at NCCMP and NCPERS, LTIIA could be an outstanding partner to you in filling out your infrastructure programs at your annual conferences.
