*Greetings Hunter & Kathleen:* Andrew and I want to invite you and your significant other out to stay with us at Widehall (above) in *Chestertown, Maryland *-- a great gem of a colonial town on the Eastern Shore -- for *"Downrigging Weekend"* *(28-30 October)* when many of the best tall ships and classic wooden craft of the region all dock up in front of our home. There are all sorts of fun things going on, and I'll attach both a schedule of what the town will have underway and a roster of the cool ships coming this way. We'll be having a number of interesting folks staying with us through the weekend -- and we hope you will too. The Sultana Education Foundation (the Sultana is a to-scale, working replica of a colonial schooner that traveled between Chestertown and England more than 200 years ago -- but it now sails the waters of the Chesapeake) has done a fab job making this Downrigging stuff both historically interesting and beautiful. You may enjoy it more than the annual drab of Halloween costumes and gobs of candy. Here is the schedule of the weekend: *http://sultanaeducation.org/public-programs/sultana-public-sails/downrigging-weekend-2/festival-schedule/ <http://sultanaeducation.org/public-programs/sultana-public-sails/downrigging-weekend-2/festival-schedule/>* And here is information on the visiting ships - and more info in the left column about everything else: *http://sultanaeducation.org/public-programs/sultana-public-sails/downrigging-weekend-2/participating-tall-ships/ <http://sultanaeducation.org/public-programs/sultana-public-sails/downrigging-weekend-2/participating-tall-ships/>* The address of *Widehall* (our home) is *101 North Water Street, Chestertown, MD 21620*. Hope you can join us -- and *look forward to hearing back from you*. *We have three rooms available -- and once we fill them, we will be at capacity and then will be directing folks to Airbnb's and other spots you can secure on your own. So hope to hear from you soon.* All best, *Steve & Andrew
