Eric and Hunter Given your involvement in a cross border fund I thought you may find this interesting: Carlyle seeks $369M in lawsuit over missed IPO Washington, DC | PE/Buyout The Carlyle Group has taken legal action seeking $368.9 million from portfolio company ATMU after the operator of automated teller machines missed a four-year deadline for going public, according to a Bloomberg report. Carlyle claims the right to redeem its shares and exit since no IPO occurred, but ATMU—a Chinese company incorporated in the Cayman Islands—hasn’t responded to attempts to do so, according to Carlyle’s legal petition. Carlyle has backed ATMU since 2010. ------- Caryn Suffredini,CFA (617) 947-7333 (m)
