Sending out an email---I know a few folks on this list are rehearsal dinner folks, but thought we could offer up a few options for those who aren¹t---things to do on a Friday night in the Big ole town of Little Rock. Most of you are staying at either the Capitol hotel or the Peabody. My suggestion would be an early evening meet up in the Capitol Bar to make a plan---over cocktails of course. The downtown area is great, lots to do and no reason to drive. If some folks wanted to get together for a big dinner, we should make reservations, there is a good steak place in the Peabody (Capricio) or Sonny Williams down the street. Depending on the numbers, we could get a room. More casual would be Flying Fish---great catfish---great po boys---cold beer. Boulevard bread Company‹in the Rivermarket‹good lunch Flying Burrito Brothers‹name is explanatory enough Copper Grill‹Small bistro, nice place, good food. Lunch or dinner Doe¹s Eat Place‹Great steaks, cold beer, awesome tamales, a Little Rock landmark. They have a backroom as well we could reserve. Gusano¹s Pizza/Iriana¹s Pizza‹good pizza downtown Vino¹s pizza is also good and is good for you indie rockers (Dennis and Ho you can thank me later) Midtown Billiards‹open till 4am. Great burgers. Lots of pool. Always a chance for a bar fight. See you there late night. Big Whiskey¹s---downtown sports bar. Good spot. Vermillion Water Grille‹another nicer place to eat. US Pizza‹a Little Rock pizza classic Ferneau‹in Hillcrest, they have great dining and a bar you can get roofied at. What more could you ask for! SO---depending on what your pleasure is there are a few options. Some you would need to drive/cab, some not so much. As far as site seeing downtown, we will be right next to the Old Statehouse, where one Bill Clinton celebrated election night. The Clinton Library is also in walking distance and is great---way more fun than you would think. There are lots more bars etc downtown, music venues etc. Feel free to forward to others.
