Hunter,

How did it go? Do you need anything more from me to facilitate a decision?

Best.

Hunter,

Good talking with you. What I propose is a small (15-20), high-level meeting for 60-90 minutes (as time is available) to listen to the Vice President's views on the Cancer Moonshot and other reflections on the state of the world as he concludes his eight years as Vice President of the United States. We have a venue in the Hilton Garden Inn, immediately across the street from the Congress Centre (the main meeting hall for the World Economic Forum) we can use, or can adjust to any other venue available which the Secret Service would prefer. As we discussed, I believe it would be best to meet in the Village of Davos since competing schedules will make it difficult for the group to assemble far from their other commitments.

This could be over a meal (lunch or dinner), a reception, coffee....or whatever is optimal for the Vice President. If you could tell me what time slots might be best I can cross-check them against other potential competing events to be sure we have a slot which will draw the best participants. Among those I would invite would be the CEOs of such blue-ribbon companies as: Dow-DuPont; Nestle, Walmart, Coca-Cola, BASF, Reliance Industries, Siemens, Facebook, Amazon.... (and any you might wish to add.

The invitation would need to go out in the next few days. Since the formal Annual Meeting launches on the evening of Monday, January 16, I am assuming that your dad's speech will be sometime on Tuesday, January 17. I am further assuming you will be leaving Davos soon after that time on 17 or 18 January. So our window is tight, but doable if we can act fairly quickly.

Below is a draft of simple invitation language which we will, of course, amend to meet requirements.

Please join Vice President Joe Biden. for a small, private discussion of the efforts he is leading on the "Cancer Moonshot" to end cancer as we know it. This multi-year, multi-billion dollar historic initiative has engaged thousands around the world in the effort to realize a decade's worth of advances in five years.

The Vice President will also reflect on the state of the world as he concludes his eight years in office, and an extraordinary career of public service.

Thanks for your help with this, and looking forward to seeing you "on the Mountain"!

Best.

Paul
