Facebook Fans can Fight Hunger…with Kraft Foods

This month, Kraft Foods launched a worldwide initiative to encourage its food-friendly Facebook fans to join the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) in the fight against global hunger.

Food Fight! Princeton Fights Hunger

Dedicated volunteers in Princeton have organized a reception and dinner to benefit World Food Program USA.

The event, taking place on October 2, features an auction; items up for grabs include a getaway resort stay in Tanzania courtesy of Double Tree by Hilton and a foodie lover’s dream experience courtesy of Elements restaurant in Princeton. The event will also include dancing and speakers on the issue of global hunger.

Lukasz Lipiec One Million Grains and Counting!

Lukasz Lipiec uses his free time to play Freerice, the online game where 10 grains of rice are donated for every correct answer. In two years, he’s already contributed more than a million grains of rice to feed the hungry. "I guess I’m an ordinary man, but I like to do something that makes a difference," says Lukasz.

To hungry people around the world, Lukasz is a hero – one of the many on Freerice who fight hunger each day while having fun at the same time.

A Child in Chad Alarming Situation in Chad

Two-year-old Hassan, barely able to lift his head to swallow the vitamin supplements which are saving his life, was reached just in time. One in four children in Chad is suffering from acute malnutrition. Watch the video.

We’re already seeing the positive results of children’s nutrition programs in Niger. Yet we need to reach many more families who have gone for months without proper food.
