Senator Claire Wilson is a longtime educator and student
advocate fighting for access to inclusive, comprehensive
education for Washington’s students. Here’s what’s at stake with
SB 5395:

* Mandate comprehensive, medically-accurate sex education
in Washington’s public schools

* Ensure that the curriculum be inclusive for all students,
regardless of gender identity or sexual education

* Update the sex education curriculum to include affirmative
consent and healthy relationships

* Require school districts to report on the sex education they
are providing so that our state can continue to improve.
