This guy is not affiliated with the Commerce Department, but the Mission is sponsored by Commerce. They outsource these to other companies and then have U.S. Ambassadors and Embassy support. It isn't uncommon but it is different than a DOC organized mission and there is no senior Commerce official on the mission. That said, it doesn't mean it isn't worthwhile - it just is a lower level mission. Devon, didn't you do one of these at one point for Real Estate?
