Below is a note from Josh Brumberger. As I mentioned Josh recently moved
from Asst. Treasurer of RI to Utilidata to run Biz Dev. Josh is a friend
of the firm (former Finance Chair for Sen Edwards, knows Julianna well).


Josh and his CEO are coming to DC to meet with Sen Reid, FERC, etc. I’d
love to find an hour where we could sit down together with you and Hunter
and discuss what they are up to. I think there is an Advisory opportunity
here to help them expand internationally as well help on the domestic front
in terms of meeting utility companies/agencies and identifying projects
where their tech can be deployed.


Utilidata is a well-financed company (have raised $20m so far)– Saudi
Arabia is an investor as well as Formation 8, a VC created by Joe Lonsdale
who founded Palantir. There is an energy efficiency play here, but also
cyber security to protect the grid, etc.


I would prefer to meet on the 25th, I would come to DC for the meeting,
ideally in the early afternoon. But if the 24th is the only day that works
I would call in, but we should try and carve out time to meet with them.


We are the first meeting they are trying to schedule and will work their
calendar around ours.


LMK what works and we coordinate with Josh’s team.

Great to catch-up earlier. To recap, Scott DePasquale, Paul Afonso and I
will be down in DC on June 24/25 for a bunch of meetings on grid
modernization and cyber security. It would be great to spend some time
with Hunter and Rob at Rosemont’s office while we’re in town.


Once you give me the go ahead, I’ll loop Kelly, Scott’s assistant, into the
conversation. She’s handling all the logistics for the trip.
