Here's the truth: every month we have fundraising goals for our work. They pay for staff, for our efforts to connect veterans with members of Congress, our ads, polls, and recruiting new veterans and military families into our community.

We are effective. We make a difference. We put the money we raise to work doing the kind of things you'd be proud of. General Clark said that we are the most decisive organization out there when we engage in a fight.

But what you may or may not know is that most of the donations - almost all of them, really - come from lots of people giving small amounts of money.

And this month, we're short of our goals. Not in a dramatic, "the sky is falling" kind of way. But short, nonetheless. So we're trying to close the gap between now and midnight.

We're close to doing it. And our hope is that the response to this email could put us over the top. So today, with the clock winding down, we have to ask:

Can you make a $3 donation to VoteVets today? It's important. We'll put it right to work elevating the voices of progressive veterans who are willing to stand up to Donald Trump and his dangerous policies.

In 2018, VoteVets was one of the top spending organizations in the fight. Most of the other groups? They are almost all super conservative outlets with big-money benefactors. Not us. We do things differently. But we need your help to get it done.
